C-7 low-voltage contractor — license application in process
Low-voltage & AV decommissioning and structured cabling for the Bay Area.
We close the trade-license gap movers, AV integrators, and GCs can't self-perform — cable and rack removal, AV/IT decom, and per-serial certified chain-of-custody, documented to lease and audit spec.
Scope + fixed-price proposal within 48 hours.

Services
Trade-licensed self-performance across the decom scope.
Structured cabling
Cat6A and fiber, MDF/IDF build and teardown, terminated and labeled both ends to ANSI/TIA-568 with TIA-606 labeling, Fluke DSX certification with a pass/fail closeout test report.
AV / IT decommissioning & recovery
Rack and AV system decom, control-system and equipment recovery, inventory and staging for reuse, resale, or certified downstream disposition.
Cable removal for lease turnover
Plenum and low-voltage cable removal to broom-clean / lease-surrender spec — the abandoned-cable scope landlords and GCs require back at move-out.
Data chain-of-custody & sanitization
Per-serial certificate of sanitization aligned to NIST SP 800-88, tracked from release to final disposition through certified partners.
Scope edges, stated plainly: we do not perform fire-alarm or access-control wiring. Naming the edge sets the scope cleanly and signals we know the trade.
Process
A repeatable, low-risk sequence — the same on every job.
- 01
Scope & walkthrough
On-site walkthrough, scope confirmation against the lease-surrender or build requirements, and a fixed-price proposal within 48 hours.
- 02
Mobilize & rough-in
Fast mobilization — including nights and weekends for occupied buildings — pathways, rough-in, and staging with a single accountable crew.
- 03
Pull, terminate & recover
Cable pull and termination to TIA-568, AV/rack recovery and inventory, and per-serial capture for anything holding data.
- 04
Test & closeout
Fluke DSX certification, a no-exceptions pass/fail test-report PDF, certificate of sanitization, and photo documentation of the finished condition.
Chain of custody
Every device traced by serial number — from release to final outcome.
Compliance buyers are now coached that a single invoice is not adequate documentation, and that certificates listing batch totals instead of individual serial numbers are an audit red flag. Our certificate of sanitization lists each device by serial, aligned to NIST SP 800-88, with a documented custody trail an auditor, regulator, or insurer can follow.

Who you're hiring
Named, verifiable people — not a faceless vendor.
Year one, the résumé is the proof. Every claim here is verifiable, which is exactly what a prequal check confirms.

FAQ
Everything you need before reaching out.
- What's your license classification?
- Vinson Low Voltage Systems operates under a California C-7 low-voltage contractor classification (application in process — the number is published here once issued). We state scope plainly: we do not perform fire-alarm or access-control wiring.
- Do you sub under a mover's or GC's brand and invoice?
- Yes. We work directly with movers, AV integrators, and general contractors, subbing under your brand and on your invoice, and can issue a COI naming you additional insured with a waiver of subrogation on request.
- How fast can you mobilize, and do you work nights and weekends?
- We mobilize fast, including nights and weekends for occupied buildings, and commit to a scope plus fixed-price proposal within 48 hours of the walkthrough.
- How do you document data destruction?
- With a certificate of sanitization that lists each device by individual serial number, aligned to NIST SP 800-88, plus a documented chain of custody from release to final disposition — not a single batch-total invoice.
- What do you hand off at closeout?
- A Fluke DSX certification with a pass/fail test-report PDF, the certificate of sanitization, an asset/disposition inventory, and photo documentation of the finished condition.
- What areas do you serve?
- The San Francisco Bay Area. Multi-trade restoration and white-box handoff extend across California and Nevada through our licensed general-contractor partner.
